Mingyur Rinpoche teaches on the Mahamudra Lineage Prayer, also known as the Short Dorje Chang (Dorje Chang Thungma in Tibetan). This prayer was composed by Bengar Jampäl Sangpo in the 15th century as the essence of his realization after completing an 18-year meditation retreat on Tsenmedo Island in Tibet. Cherished and recited by practitioners who draw inspiration from the Kagyu lineages that descend from Lord Gampopa, this prayer not only serves as a supplication, but also gives profound meditation instructions on the nature of mind.
