Dharani Accumulation for HHK

Dear Sangha,
A special message was recently sent by the Karmapa Foundation Europe:
Dear Friends,
The fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche, who is one of the greatest living Nyingma masters, has said that if the followers of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje accumulate recitations of The Dharani of The Essence of Dependent Arising, His Holiness will live long and his activities will benefit great number of beings.
Therefore His Holiness’ sister, Jetsun Ngodup Palzom has invited all students, individuals, groups and centres to join in, and to accumulate recitations that will be said by them or their group over the next year (2016, the Tibetan year of the Fire Monkey), as an offering for the benefit of everyone. She is asking for a commitment from each individual or group who wishes to join in, meaning an accumulated number of recitations will be offered during the year by each individual or group.
Ngodup Palzom would like to know the total numbers to be committed (before February 8th 2016, the start of Tibetan New Year), so that she can inform His Holiness as part of the Long Life Mandala Offering that takes place on the 9th of February during the 33rd Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya.

******************************

Bardor Tulku Rinpoche has requested the sangha and supporters of Kunzang Palchen Ling to offer their participation in accumulating recitations of The Dharani of The Essence of Dependent Arising for the Long Life Mandala Offering.
The mantra will be recited and accumulated over the year 2016. Rinpoche has asked individuals who wish to participate to submit their commitment totals to linda@kunzang.org by Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016. KPL will then collect your totals and submit them to Karmapa Foundation Europe as part of the Long Life Mandala Offering on Feb. 9, 2016. You do not need to submit your mantra counts during the course of the year.
The Dharani of The Essence of Dependent Arising
This form of mantra is used by all schools of Buddhism, and this verse in particular contains the essence of the whole teaching of the Buddha, it is recited as a dharani by the addition of OM at the beginning, and SVAHA at the end. Dharanis are often written down and placed inside stupas and sacred statues.

OM YE DHARMA HETU-PRABHAVA HETUM TESHAM TATHAGATO HYAVADAT TESHAM CHA YO NIRODHA EVAM VADI MAHASHRAMANAH SVAHA

***
All dharmas originate from causes.
The Tathagata has taught these causes,
And also that which puts a stop to these causes—
This too has been taught by the Great Shramana.

Thank you for participating! May His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa live long for the benefit of all sentient beings and its environment.
